Those People Really Were Ordinary.

Just finished watching "Ordinary People" starring Donald Sutherland and Timothy Hutton. I must admit that this is the 3rd attempt I made at watching it and was finally successful. Also, I must beg forgiveness for the lack of creativity with the title of the post. Give me a break, it's 5 am. On to the actual movie.

I really liked this movie. Hell, I loved it. The look of the film, the style of the characters, and the hesitance of a generation past came together to make a very moving picture (awful joke no?). When watching a movie like this I feel like I was born about 15 years too late.

The story is a sensitive one that I suggest you watch for yourself. Anyone who knows me well enough knows I hate movie critics / reviews so I won't go into any detail about the movie. I felt more compelled to write about how apropos the title was. I don't think that we as a society realize just how ordinary everyone really is. We all have talents that separate us, but we are all just people. The way the son felt in the movie was a feeling I know to be all too familiar. The situations that lead to the emotions that we feel are unique, but the emotions are the same.

I realize this is short and I plan to keep writing daily, but I need sleep. Good night dear void.
